Sometimes the new Dayco V belt is a little bit different length. Many times the new Dayco V belt can be a bit different in length. This can be caused by stretching of the old belt. V Belts 7\8 Width  Route the new Dayco V belt through the pulleys so that it uses the exact same path as the old belt. You may need to loosen the belt tensioner a little bit more in order to slip the new belt onto the final pulley. Refer to the Dayco V belt diagram on the vehicle or in the owners manual to check your work.
