AC Compressor Clutches and Pulleys
We offer air conditioning clutches and pulleys from AC Delco, Motorcraft and MEI Airsource. Air conditioning clutches and pulley identification and can be accomplished by taking measurements of your air conditioning clutches or pulleys and comparing them to our air conditioning clutches and pulley specifications. Another method is to cross reference the Original Equipment part/service numbers for your air conditioning clutches and pulleys that may or may not be stamped on the air conditioning clutches and pulleys or on the package of the last air conditioning clutches and pulley purchase. The air conditioning clutches and pulley used on a particular truck depends on the type of compressor selected from an option list when the truck was first assembled. In many cases after many miles of service the original air conditioning clutches and pulleys have been replaced. For whatever reason, a truck originally equipped with a reciprocating compressor may now be using a rotary type air conditioning compressor or possibly a single groove air conditioning clutch has been replaced with a double groove air conditioning clutch. To assure you get the correct AC Delco, Motorcraft or MEI Airsource air conditioning clutch and pulley the first time, it is important to identify the type of air conditioning compressor the air conditioning clutches and pulleys will be used on and the characteristics or specifications of the air conditioning clutch and pulley. Check for numbers on the air conditioning clutch or pulley to help identify the air conditioning clutch or pulley. Otherwise the following information will be needed air conditioning clutches and pulleys for the job. 1. Air Conditioning Compressor Make and Model. 2. Voltage of the air conditioning clutch or pulley. 3. Diameter of the air conditioning clutch or pulley. 4. Number of Grooves and Width of Drive Belt on the air conditioning clutch and pulley. 5. Distance of Gauge Line on the air conditioning clutch or pulley. Shop for AC Compressor Clutches and Pulleys>>

AC Compressors
Commonly referred to as the heart of the system, the air conditioning compressor is a belt driven pump that is fastened to the engine. It is responsible for compressing and transferring refrigerant gas. Our air conditioning compressors from MEI Airsource, Motorcraft and AC Delco are the finest quality air conditioning compressors available. There are many different makes of air conditioning compressors used in our marketplace. Regardless of manufacture and design, all air conditioning compressors operate as the pump to keep refrigerant circulating and to increase the refrigerant's pressure.
Blissfield, Tecumseh and York style air conditioning compressors are known as reciprocating, upright or in-line type air conditioning compressors. The Sanden, Sankyo, Seltec, Diesel KIKI and Zexel are rotary types of air conditioning compressors. The suction side (low side) of the air conditioning compressor and discharge side (high side) of the air conditioning compressor have ports which are usually stamped with the letters "S" or "D" on the air conditioning compressors head.
Blissfield, Tecumseh and York style air conditioning compressors are completely interchangeable air conditioning compressors providing the suction port in on the proper side and the hose connections are the same on the air conditioning compressor.
TIP: Always replace the filter drier when replacing the air conditioning compressor.

AC Condensers and Evaporators
We offer quality air conditioning condensers and evaporators from AC Delco, Motorcraft and MEI Airsource.
The air conditioning condenser is located on the high side of the air conditioning system. The air conditioning condenser is mounted directly in front of the radiator where it can receive air flow created by the trucks forward motion and by the engine fan. As refrigerant vapor travels from the air conditioning compressor through the air conditioning condenser, a point in reached where condensation occurs in the air conditioning condenser. The high pressure liquid refrigerant then travels from the air conditioning condenser and toward the air conditioning evaporator. There are various styles and types of air conditioning condensers used on today's vehicles.
The air conditioning evaporator is located on the low pressure side of the air conditioning system. It is usually mounted inside the cab under the dash panel. The air conditioning evaporator receives the refrigerant from an expansion valve or orifice tube as low pressure liquid. As the air conditioning refrigerant passes through the coils of the air conditioning evaporator, a change occurs and the refrigerant becomes a low pressure vapor. Housed with the evaporator is the blower motor, which draws the warm air from the cab over the air conditioning evaporator and then blows or circulates the cooled air inside the cab. Next time you need an air conditioning condenser or evaporator allow us to help you find the correct air conditioning condensers and evaporators from AC Delco, Motorcraft or MEI Airsource.

AC Driers and Accumulators
Air conditioning filter driers, receiver driers, accumulators and in-lie air conditioning filters are canisters used to filter debris and remove moisture to protect the air conditioning system. AC Delco, Motorcraft and MEI Airsource offer various inlet and outlet fitting types and sizes of air conditioning driers are used in today's vehicles. Many air conditioning driers also have air conditioning system protection devices, moisture indicators, charge ports, sight-glass, fuse plugs, high pressure relief valves and assorted mounting brackets depending on the requirements from the original air conditioning driers equipment manufacturer.
Air conditioning filter driers (receiver driers) are usually located on the high side of the air conditioning system before the expansion valve. The air conditioning receiver drier "receives" liquid refrigerant from the condenser, stores it, filters out contaminates from the air conditioning system, and removes moisture. Air conditioning systems using a receiver drier use and expansion valve to control the refrigerant flow.
Air conditioning Accumulators are similar to that of the receiver drier. It is usually mounted on the low side, at the outlet of the evaporator. The air conditioning accumulator "accumulates" or stores excess air conditioning refrigerant, filters moisture and dries the refrigerant. Air conditioning accumulators are used on CCOT (Cycling Clutch Orifice Tube) or FFOT (Ford Fixed Orifice Tube) air conditioning systems. These air conditioning systems use a orifice tube instead of an air conditioning expansion valve to control refrigerant flow. AC Delco, Motorcraft and MEI Airsource offer the best air conditioning driers and accumulators that money can buy.

AC Fittings
Air conditioning fittings are available from AC Delco, Motorcraft and MEI Airsource in wide array of configurations . This is necessary because replacement air conditioning fittings must fit on to the original air conditioning fittings that exist on air conditioning components on the system. Flare air conditioning fittings are are popular too. The flare type air conditioning fittings seal with metal to metal contact and requires higher torque than o-ring style air conditioning fittings. O-Ring style air conditioning fittings achieve an effective seal in automotive air conditioning systems through the use of an o-ring placed in a specially designed groove or cavity on the air conditioning fittings. The threads on the o-ring style air conditioning fittings serve only as a mechanical connection and require less torque than the comparable flare style air conditioning fittings. O-ring style air conditioning fittings are proven to be more reliable and widely accepted as an international standard for mobile air conditioning fittings. Spring lock air conditioning fittings use a dual o-ring style OEM design used and patented by Ford Motor Company. The spring lock air conditioning fitting uses dual o-rings in a precision barrel and are held together by tube flare and garter spring. The spring lock air conditioning fitting requires special tools to disassemble and special care to insure the connection is fully engaged.
Gasket seal air conditioning fittings rely on fairly heavy compression of the sealing materials to metal surfaces. Teflon Gasket seal air conditioning fittings are based on a Teflon ring being compressed into a groove known as a Rotolock air conditioning fitting. Many air conditioning systems worldwide use O-Ring style air conditioning fittings. O-Ring style air conditioning fittings employ a o-ring in a groove design. O-Ring style air conditioning fittings are popular on GM air conditioning compressors and Chrysler. Shop for AC Fittings>>

AC Valves
The air conditioning expansion valve is located at the evaporator inlet. The air conditioning expansion valve controls the flow of refrigerant entering the evaporator based on the cooling load or the evaporators temperature. A metering valve inside the MEI Airsource air conditioning expansion valve moves up and down in the refrigerants flow path opening and closing the pathway inside the air conditioning expansion valve. The internal pathway is smaller than the refrigerant line, causing the pressure to drop, changing it from a high pressure liquid to a low pressure liquid mist. Sensing temperature changes, the metering valve constantly opens or closes as it precisely meters the amount of refrigerant needed. We offer air conditioning expansion valves from MEI Airsource, AC Delco and Motorcraft in a wide variety of types including block type expansion valves, externally equalized expansion valves, and internally equalized expansion valves. Air conditioning orifice tubes and expansion tubes from MEI Airsource consist of a filter screen to remove contaminants, and a calibrated tube to meter refrigerant flow. Like an air conditioning expansion valve, orifice tubes and expansion tubes are mounted on the inlet side of the evaporator. MEI Airsource cycling clutch switch turns the compressor on and off. Cycling clutch switches can be either thermostatic or pressure types. The intermittent air conditioning compressor operation controls the refrigerant flow and pressure. Count on us to provide timely and accurate supplies of MEI Airsource air conditioning expansion valves and orifice tubes.

Blower Motors and Fans
Blower motors and fans are used in air conditioning systems to circulate warm and cold air inside the cab and sleeper of the truck. The blower motors and fans are used to circulate air across the fins of the heater core to warm the air in the cab. The blower motors and fans are also used to circulate air across the fins of the evaporator which cools the air and in turn cools the air in the cab. MEI Airsource blower motors and fans are available to fit most heavy duty truck vehicles. AC Delco blower motors and fans are available to fit many General Motors vehicles and Motorcraft blower motors and fans are available to fit many Ford vehicles. When replacing blower motors and fans always pay attention to the direction of rotation of the blower motors and fans. Some replacement blower motors and fans from MEI Airsource are reversible and will include instructions on how to go about determining the rotation of the blower motors and fans.
